continuation of the first Circular, I feel privileged to invite you in the 2nd
Session of Haryana History Congress organized by Dept. of History, Culture
& Archaeology, Chaudhay Ranbir Singh University, Jind on 24-25th
November 2017 and funded by Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.
Eminent personalities, renowned social scientists, teachers & scholars are
likely to participate. It gives me profound pleasure in extending you and yours
friends of different disciplines who are interested in any aspect related to the History and Culture of Haryana a cordial invitation to participate in
the deliberations at Chaudhay Ranbir Singh University, Jind.
About the University: Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, was established by the State Legislature Act 28 of 2014 on July
24, 2014. It has a spreading Campus of 75 acres situated nearly 2 kilometers
away from Jind-Gohana and Jind-Rohtak Bypass. At the initial stage, it was
started as a Post Graduate Regional Center by Kurukshetra in 2007. Aim of the University is the cultivation
of citizens with a rich awareness of our heritage to lead and serve in every
sphere of human activity.
The University is affiliated u/s 2(f)
of the UGC Act, 1956 vide letter no. 9-12/2014(CPP-I/PU) Dated 26 September,
2014 and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. In
addition, the team of UGC will visit on 17-18 July, 2017 to inspect the
requirement of 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956.
To enhance the research activities
for the holistic development of the students and researchers, the University
has organized 02 International Seminar, 03 National Seminars and 02 National
Workshops. In addition to the academics, the students are also encouraged to
participate in sports events and extracurricular activities at the campus as
well as outside the campus to enable their wholesome personality development.
About the Department of
History, Culture & Archaeology: The Department of History, Culture and
Archaeology has been set up in the year 2014 with the aim to impart the
education of history to the interested young generation. The Department also
lays emphasis on the multidisciplinary approach for the better understanding of
society and realizing mutual coexistence. It also marks a departure from the
traditional teaching and understanding of the concerned subject by bringing
qualitative shift in its curricula, teaching methodology and perception
development in the realm of knowledge gain.
The
Department provides M.A. Degree in Indian History, Culture & Archaeology
with 50 students each in M.A. (Previous & Final year). The subjects taught
at M.A. Level include specialized study of Archaeology, Ancient History,
Medieval History and Modern History.

Culture of Haryana”

Ø Prof. R. B. Solanki, Vice Chancellor, Ch. R.
S. University, Jind (Haryana) will be the Chief Guest of the Inaugural
Session of the Conference.
Ø Prof. K. C. Yadav, former Director, Haryana
Academy of History & Culture, Gurgaon will be the
General President of the Session.
Ø Prof. Vijay Kr. Kayat, Vice Chancellor
Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa will deliver the Valedictory address.
Ø Prof. S. P. Sukla, formerly Kurukshetra
University, Kurukshetra will preside over the Ancient Section.
Ø Dr. Surjbhan Bhardwaj, Motilal College,
University of Delhi will preside over the Medieval Section.

preside over the Modern Sections of the Conference.

IMPORTANT POINTS:
1. Only members of Haryana History Congress can become the
delegates of the 2nd session of HHC.
2. Accommodation at Jind will be provided from the afternoon of
23 Nov., 2017 to noon of 25 Nov., 2017.
3. Accommodation will be provided only to those participants
who confirm their stay up to 15 November, 2017 positively.
4. Accommodation will be provided only to members of HHC and
not to accompanying non-members.
5. Transport facility will be provided to the delegates from
afternoon of 23 November, 2017 at the end of the conference from local bus
stand and railway station to the venue.

SUBMISSION OF PAPER
Delegates
can submit their papers by email to (haryanahistorycongress@gmail.com). These should be typed in Times New Roman font using single space 14 points for the title and
12 points for general matter and Kurti
Dev 10 in Hindi 16 Points. PPT facility will also be provided for
presentation. Participants should submit one soft copy of their paper along with
a hard copy.
DELEGATION FEE
The
Delegation fee is Rs. 500/- and the
annual membership fee Rs. 300/-(Compulsory) while life membership is Rs. 2500/-
which can be submitted through DD/Cash/Net Banking/etc. in favor of Haryana
History Congress, Account No. 4058000100181071, IFSC Code PUNB0405800, Punjab
Nation Bank, payable at JVMGRR College Charkhi Dadri (Haryana). It also is paid in cash
during the conference on 24-25th
November, 2017.
RECEPTION
Our
reception counter will be active from afternoon of 23 November, 2017 till noon
of 25 November, 2017 at Jind Bus Stand and Railway Station.
MEALS
You
will be our guest during the session so all meals beginning with dinner of 23
November 2017 up to dinner of 25 November, 2017 will be provided at venue by
us.
HOW TO REACH JIND
Ch.R.S. University, Jind is well connected both by
road and Rail from Delhi and Chandigarh. It is situated at Rohtak Road in
the Southern periphery of Jind and is located about 140 kms north-west
of Delhi, 50 kms north from Rohtak, 30 kms south to Hisar. Buses for Jind will
be available from all the major cities such as Delhi, Kurukshetra, Rohtak,
Hisar, Chandigarh, etc. Trains will also available on Jaipur - Chandigarh
Track, Delhi – Jind Track.
